Ceiling Cassette air conditioners

A ceiling cassette air conditioner is a device that is used in both residential homes and office buildings. This is a unique concept that has the air conditioning unit installed in the ceiling and not on a wall. One advantage of this design is that the piping required to connect with an outside unit is also in the ceiling. Ceiling Cassettes also have their own condensate pump built in, they tend to be more reliable than the additional condensate pumps that are attached to wall mounted units.

Benefits :

The only way to tell if a ceiling cassette air conditioner is installed is by the grill showing on the ceiling in a home or office building. The fan technology used in this device is designed to move air easily to all
areas in the room evenly. One aspect of these units is that they can also be used to provide heat. The use of this piece of equipment is great for new construction homes, night clubs, and restaurants. These units can even be installed in an existing home or other building.

Louvers

A ceiling cassette air conditioner has swing louvers that can be used to direct the flow of air. This is the best way to ensure the proper movement of air in a room. Most devices have louvers that are set once an user
sets a desired program mode. The louvers will be positioned down when cooling is needed and up when heating is necessary.

Installation

Many ceiling cassette air conditioner systems can be installed flush to the ceiling or set down up to one inch or more. The position of the unit in the ceiling is based on the type of unit that is installed. Airflow from
the unit is typically in all directions. This means a device can be installed in a long hallway and in the corner of a room.

Maintenance

The only maintenance that is generally needed for a ceiling cassette air conditioner is to ensure that the filter is clean. These devices will have an air intake grille that is detachable and a filter that needs to be
washed.

Humidity Control

Many units have a dry mode that can be set to help control humidity. This setting can also be used if an office or residential home does not need to be cooled. Reducing humidity helps to maintain the comfort in a room
without having to blow cold air.

Energy Savings

A setting on the thermostat will make the unit decrease power consumption when a set temperature has been reached. Reduced power will help to keep utility bills from rising.
