Wine Cellar Cooling

What is the ideal temperature and humidity for a wine cellar?

The ideal red wine storage temperature is 55 – 59 °F (12 –15 °C) and 55 – 75% humidity. White wine can be stored as low as 5 °C
Wine cellar cooling is designed to cool the air at a much slower rate in order to maintain the humidity in the room.

In certain cases you can even add a humidification device to help raise the humidity if the wine cellar is in a dry area.
So it's really the combination of the wine cellar cooling unit's ability to cool down to less than 14 degree temperatures without drying out the air that makes them quite different then standard air conditioning.
